Are you enjoying a Sober Summer/Sober January/Sober life? If avoiding alcoholic beverages without sacrificing the social aspect of social drinking, stop in at the area’s first non-alcoholic (NA) bottle shop: Lady Superior Bottle Shop. While you are there, check out Harbortown Goods, located in the same storefront.
About Lady Superior NA Bottle Shop
Lady Superior Bottle Shop is the brainchild of Abby Tofte, owner of The Big Lake, an artsy gift shop located in the same building. Last year, Abby, a sober sister, had the idea to dedicate a small portion of The Big Lake to a carefully curated selection of NA beverages. The idea was a success and Lady Superior quickly outgrew its space in The Big Lake. So, when the Gunflint Mercantile closed earlier this year, Abby was able to purchase the other half of the building and move the bottle shop into the former candy store’s space.
With the larger store available, Abby can expand her NA offerings to include beer, wine, cocktails, and CBD and THC beverages. Now the store can offer flights a variety of flights to taste test the store’s offerings and learn more about the rising NA movement in Minnesota. Even though interest is growing, Abby’s store remains the first and only dedicated NA bottle shop on the North Shore.
About Harbortown Goods
While the Lady Superior Bottle Shop idea is flourishing, the large space once occupied by Gunflint Mercantile was a bit large for just the bottle shop. That’s where Harbortown Goods comes into play. While The Big Lake focuses more on locally-made art and goods, many visitors were requesting more traditional gift ideas. Harbortown Goods was added to fill those needs. So in addition to the NA beverages, the space offers a wider variety of unique souvenirs with a North Shore twist.
Habortown Goods offers clothing, custom-made North Shore pennants, fun Northwood-themed pool floats, locally-made jewelry, and more!
