Summit Retreat is a large two-level custom-built luxury timber frame home located in a private north woods setting of Lutsen, Minnesota. Luxury meets peace and quiet.  Up North sophistication meets a calming embrace.  Welcome to Summit Retreat.  This beautiful Timber Frame home provides sweeping views of the Boreal Forest while Lake Superior makes her presence known with seasonal sneak previews and ever-changing moods.   

And of course, there is so much more.  The main level features an open and generous living space. Here you will find the kitchen complete with thoughtfully appointed granite countertops complimented with stainless steel appliances and a full assortment of kitchen cookware and essentials.  Your kitchen is open to the dining room making entertaining, dining, laughter, and storytelling a featured highlight while providing comfortable seating for everyone.  The two-sided gas fireplace in the living room is great for adding warmth and ambiance for all seasons. Main level living?  Yes indeed.  You will find the master bedroom with en suite and two other comfortable bedrooms located on the main level of this home as well.   

The lower level is again another large and generous area designed for entertainment including billiards, game tables, and large screen TV. Think about it – the home features upper and lower living areas allowing larger groups to split off and do activities in smaller groups and then come back together for meals and more stories. 

 Aurora Borealis? You betcha!  And you can even act like a local and simply call them Northern Lights.  Both levels of this home have expansive and well-designed decks facing Lake Superior setting up perfectly for stargazing, eagle and raptor sightings, and sweeping views of the surrounding north woods. Whether you are seeking a base camp for your outdoor adventures, or a cozy retreat to relax and refresh, make no mistake about it, Summit Retreat is the ideal getaway for large families or a group of friends wishing to escape to the beautiful North Shore.

This Home is Pet Friendly! Pets are welcome in this home with an additional fee. There is a 2 pet maximum.

Accessibility Information

• The parking area is not paved, it is packed gravel.
• There are two steps to reach the front porch, a ramp may be needed.
• There is a small lip to get into the front door.
• Hardwood flooring in the living room, kitchen, and dining room areas.
• Tile flooring in the bathrooms and the Four-season porch.
• Carpet in the bedrooms.
• There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level.
• Both bedrooms are large enough where one side of each bed should be accessible.
• There is a shower/tub in the master bedroom with one support handle. No shower seat.
• The second bathroom on the main level has a shower/tub combo with one support handle. No shower seat.
• The deck is accessible through sliding glass doors and has a secure rail.
• The rest of the property is not easily accessible.
• In the summer months, it may be possible to access the lower level through the grass outside going through the sliding glass door on the lower deck. This would be difficult but possibly doable. Otherwise, the lower level is only accessed by the interior staircase.
